Baltic Countries

There is an interesting alley in Klaipeda devoted to Baltic Sea with all its coastline countries listed as plaques with names and coastline length in kilometers.
Finland, Estonia, Latvia, Poland, Germany, Denmark and Sweden.. The only question I have why Lithuania and Russia are skipped? :)
This picture was made during my trip during my stay in Klaipeda on the way to Curonian spit.

Laipni lūdzam Viļņā!

Unofficial, but very nice and huge greeting sign on A2 Riga-Vilnius road in Vilnius saying Laipni lūdzam Viļņā, which means Welcome to Vilnius in Latvian.
I should have been started this blog with this entry, when I arrived to Vilnius from Riga. :)

Об'явления - Skelbimai

Russian language in Lithuania has its own features ;) E.g. interesting translation of Lithuanian word Skelbimai (ads) to Russian is Об'явления.
Found in some apartment house of Naujamiestis.

Nan Bei

Nan Bei for me sounds like copy to Gan Bei (popular Latvian Sushi place), but I don't see any logic here as in case with Kabuki/Labuki.
Update: Chinese Nan Bei restaurant in Vilnius is not related anyhow with Japanese Restaurant Gan Bei in Riga. On top of that, the service and prices here could be much better.
