Nida Sunset

It was 700 km and 4 days of the most pleasant trip to Nida town via Baltic Sea's coastline and I believe that such a scenic picture is a good ending for my story :) (previous shot)
Driving from Riga I have visited all coastline cities, including Jurmala, Engure, Mersrags, Roja, Kolka, Ventspils, Pavilosta, Liepaja, LT-LV border, Palanga, Klaipeda and finally Nida.

Dunes on Curonian spit aka Neringa are the most beautiful natural sights in Baltic States.

Baltic Countries

There is an interesting alley in Klaipeda devoted to Baltic Sea with all its coastline countries listed as plaques with names and coastline length in kilometers.
Finland, Estonia, Latvia, Poland, Germany, Denmark and Sweden.. The only question I have why Lithuania and Russia are skipped? :)
This picture was made during my trip during my stay in Klaipeda on the way to Curonian spit.

Klaipeda - Neringa Ferry

This is the photo of a small passenger ferry, which departs daily from Klaipeda towards Neringa aka Curonian Spit, the most beatiful part of Lithuania.
Of course, this is not picture of Vilnius, but I believe that all people who loves Vilnius, also enjoy Neringa and therefore road to it :)
This picture was shot during my coastline trip from Riga towards Nida between Latvian-Lithuanian border and Baltic Sea Alley

CUP Area

A word CUP isn't related to any sport at all, but it stands for Centrinė Universalinė Parduotuvė (Central Department Store).
This shopping mall and Hotel Radisson Blu Lietuva (tall building on the right side) were built in 1970s as the beginning of Vilnius city expansion to the Neris river right coast.
Thanks to Justas for providing this great photo :)

Air Balloon Trips

Air balloon trips are very popular in Vilnius. Trips are the best during sunrises and sunsets, when wind directions are different on different altitudes. Single hour trip costs ~100 EUR.

Laipni lūdzam Viļņā!

Unofficial, but very nice and huge greeting sign on A2 Riga-Vilnius road in Vilnius saying Laipni lūdzam Viļņā, which means Welcome to Vilnius in Latvian.
I should have been started this blog with this entry, when I arrived to Vilnius from Riga. :)

Gedimino pilies bokštas

Gedimino pilies bokštas (Gediminas' Castle Tower) is one of the most important sights in Lithuania since 1409.
A breathtaking city panorama can be observed from this topmost point of Vilnius.
